How to get the new material design look in your Google Calendar web app? + New Features

Google Calendar has finally made its move towards the Google material design policy which is nice to see. The new look brings some new features also packed inside. However, you have to manually set it. It is already live for all the G Suite users but if you are not on, here's how you can enable it.

It is as easy as reading this post. Just visit calendar.google.com and click the 'Use new calendar' button and her you have it. Some users (even me) are not seeing the button on their web app. For those, you can click this link to have the button.


Finally, here's the cool new material design look of the Google Calendar web app.



Now, the Calendar web app has added a multi-column Day view, so you can more easily view events from multiple calendars at once. You can also now add rich text formatting and hyperlinks to calendar invites, view contact info of event participants, easily restore deleted items, and more easily share calendars.

Google V6.13 beta is showing Google Assistant for some devices

Many apps and websites recently are saying that the Google Assistant will go on to more devices. Now, it's going true. Google v6.13 is showing Google Assistant on holding the home screen in some devices. Unfortunately, the assistant is not shown in my device. It has been some while since the release of the Pixel 2 with some great features and functionality. Yes, the headlining feature is definately its incredible camera. It has the highest rating for camera ever in any smartphone out right now. And the company is not leaving anyway to show off. Now, a Google employee has shared a Google photos album containing some......emmm.....not some but many photos taken on the Pixel 2 containing all landscape, low-light, portrait mode, motion photos (is it the right name?), etc. And really all they look super impressive.
