Nova Launcher v5.5 new beta update brings search bar in the dock + more new exciting features!

Nova Launcher v5.5 next beta update has just arrived and there are a number of great new features packing inside it. Let's talk about all of them without any further due.

Search Bar in the dock


With the arrival of Pixel 2, everyone had started the run of being the first to get the phone's look with the help of their launcher and Nova launcher has now crossed the finishing line. Now, you can place search bar in the dock either above the dock income or below them. You will find the option in the dock settings.

Android 8.1 style popup menu



 Now, Nova has finally came up with the new style popup menu of Android 8.1. You can switch between the old and new styles directly from the 'Look and feel' menu. Notifications can also be seen directly from there just like Android Oreo but this will need the prime version to use. Also, you can enable or disable the extra buttons like edit, app info from the option right below them.

Improved Adaptive Icons

Adaptive icons in Nova launcher are still in beta and are still improving with every new update. This update is really a nice touch to them. Many icons are now changing without enabling force adaptive icons unlike the last version. However, I have no screenshots to show them to you.

 There were also many under hood changes and improvements to make it better than ever.

 You can sign in as beta tester for Nova launcher to try these new features right now or you grab the APK file from the link given below and installing it to update your existing app.

Apple has now announced the thing for what we were waiting from months. Apple has officially told us that it is going to have an 'Apple Special Event' on this September 12th. We will be seeing the next big thing here - the iPhone 8. Along with it, we can see some updates to the Apple Watch and Apple TV. We will also be seeing the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus models in the event. It is widely expected that the iOS 11 which is in beta development since it has been announced in the Apple WWDC event. The teaser on Apple's website doesn't tell much about anything going to be announced, it just says “Let’s meet at our place”, as this is the first event Apple in the Steve Jobs Theater on its new Apple Park campus in Cupertino. We are going to have a lot of amazing new stuff at the event. JUST 11 DAYS!!!

Google has introduced a new phone, Pixel at the Oct 4 event. It is the first phone which has the built in Google assistant. You can ask it question, tell it to do things. Google has claimed that it has the highest rated camera ever. You can get a battery life of 7 hours by charging it just for 15 minutes. It also has a fingerprint sensor. The favourite launcher of the majority of people, Nova Launcher has just a few hours ago has hit the milestone of  50 million downloads. About everyone using an Android smartphone will know what I am talking about. But however, if you were on moon for the last few years, here's what Nova launcher is?
