Just Think... Will Android O be really Android Octopus???

Image
Google released the fourth developer preview of Android O a few days ago with some minor tweaks and changes. But there was also one which has kept everyone in confusion. The DP4 of Android O came with a new easter egg which shows an Octopus on clicking the traditional O logo and then holding it. The question arises that will Google really change the name scheme of Android from bakery sweets to animals? There are many people out saying yes for this. As the word octopus starts from O. Also an octopus has 8 legs which shows the Android version 8.0. Is this just a co-incidence or the same is happening what you are thinking? I don't think so. I still believe it is going to be called Android Oreo. If you notice, many other have already noticed, that the head of the octopus given in the easter egg looks like an Oreo. See that black biscuit with white cream filled inside. Isn't it? I think Google is having making us fool☺☺☺? What are your thoughts? Do you think abou

Another Milestone for Google Duo : Passes 100 Million Downloads on the Play Store

Image
Allo and Duo were released about at the same time. But Duo from the starting was more loved by the people than Allo. Today, Duo has crossed 100 million downloads on Google Play Store. Duo from starting was a great app whereas Allo had great features but missed some small ones. Duo had a great experience, good quality, support for voice calls was added recently. High quality video with simple design is resonating with users. Pleased to see #GoogleDuo hit 100M, 11 months since launch. Lots more to do — Amit Fulay (@amitfulay) July 15, 2017 These numbers include the pre-installed and downloaded from the Play store.

Customization On NEXT Level: Customizing Our Lock Screen Completely

Image
You might have read blogs telling about how to customize your home screen. But today, I will be telling about the customization of your lock screen. Sounds interesting, let's get started! So, firstly we would have to get an app. For that, I would recommend Next Lock Screen by Microsoft . It is completely free and also doesn't contains any type of ads. The app will need your notification access for displaying them on the lock screen. Now, let's get on to the features. This app permits you to choose a different wallpaper from the one on the home screen. Also, you can do a Bing search from the screen. Notifications are also very clean. You can directly access any of your favorite apps from there. There are contacts too there on the lock screen. Some extra features are also there in the app. Here are some screenshots of the app...   You can download this app from Play Store and try a different type of lock screen. You can tell us if you want

Head Product of Google Allo confirms Allo on desktop just in a few weeks

Image
A great application application with mind blowing features but lacking some common features. Yes, I am talking about Google Allo which set fire in the start but slowing down in a small amount of time. This doesn't mean that Google will leave the app alone but features are being added to it very consistantly. Amit Fulay, Head of Product for Google Allo and Duo, tweeted yesterday that the desktop client is still a few weeks away. This feature was noticed a few months ago. On it ... few more weeks — Amit Fulay (@amitfulay) July 8, 2017 We should wait and see what happens next?

Nougat finally crosses 10% of User Base, Marshmallow still on most of the devices

Image
The Android Platform Distribution Numbers has been updated by Google for July 2017 and the news is that Nougat has finally crossed 10 % user base which means it is now on more than 10% of the Android smartphones. Nougat has just increased 2% than last month's records which can only be explained as okay. Marshmallow is still on the most of our Android phones (approx. 31.8%) while the older ones have only decreased which is great for the company and the newer versions. Lollipop has decreased with 0.7% and KitKat has decreased with 1% ( Why users are still using such older versions while there are great improvements in the new ones).  Guess what? Android O can also arrive the next month. If so, we can only imagine what can happen? Let's see will Nougat be able to get a big jump in the next month?
