Nougat finally crosses 10% of User Base, Marshmallow still on most of the devices

The Android Platform Distribution Numbers has been updated by Google for July 2017 and the news is that Nougat has finally crossed 10 % user base which means it is now on more than 10% of the Android smartphones.

 Nougat has just increased 2% than last month's records which can only be explained as okay. Marshmallow is still on the most of our Android phones (approx. 31.8%) while the older ones have only decreased which is great for the company and the newer versions.

 Lollipop has decreased with 0.7% and KitKat has decreased with 1% ( Why users are still using such older versions while there are great improvements in the new ones).

  Guess what? Android O can also arrive the next month. If so, we can only imagine what can happen?

 Let's see will Nougat be able to get a big jump in the next month?

Nova Launcher v5.5 beta (finally) brings adaptive icons support

One of the best features Android Oreo bright was the adaptive icons in which developers can make different icon shapes so that the user can choose one according to his like our dislike. Yesterday, Nova Launcher v5.5 came up on Play Store with adaptive icons support. At this moment, I don't think they are working well and are a little bit buggy. By default, they are turned off in the launcher settings.   There are almost only the Google apps supporting the feature with some few others. For those apps, Nova intelligently changes the background with the primary colour of that icon. I don't know if they support only default icons or different icon packs too because on my phone, only when icons are selected to system, the feature works. Play Store v7.4 shows A New Way to get Review of an App

Google with Play Store has always tried something new for an effective way for us to get a review of any app or game. Play Store v7.4 is showing a 'top features' column when viewing an app review. In games review, as you can see in the above photo, ratings has been divided into three parts - Gameplay, Grafics and Controls.  In apps review, top features ratings are given by its own. Also the system of rating a game has been changed. Now, you have to give it an all over rating, Gameplay rating, Controls rating and Grafics rating.
